The UFC is coming up on the first 2021 PPV of the new year! The event features a couple of highly anticipated matchups including Dustin Poirier vs ConorMcGregor. In this video, I break down the matchup between Jessica Eye and Joanna Jedrzejczyk in detail. I also take a look at their histories and backgrounds as well as their stats.

Joanna Jedrzejczyk is another UFC veteran who initially fought for the organization back in 2014 against Juliana Lima before being released from the promotion in 2015. After joining Invicta FC, she returned to the UFC in 2016 and began her reign as strawweight champion defeating Carla Esparza by TKO to claim her title. She had won 9 consecutive fights before losing to Rose Namajunas at UFC 217 via KO. She then lost two more consecutive fights, both via decision including one rematch with Rose Namajunas at UFC 223.

UFC 257 will be the first event of 2021 within the organization and it will feature a much anticipated rematch between Conor McGregor and Dustin Poirier. on January 23rd.

In addition to the main event, another matchup with intrigue is Jessica Eye vs Joanna Jedrzejczyk. The two are former champions in their respective divisions and standout members of the women’s UFC roster.

Eye, who is currently

The UFC veteran, who rejoins the Flyweight division after a brief stint at Bantamweight, believes that she can build a trilogy fight against Jedrzejczyk.

Eye has been out of action since a loss to Cynthia Calvillo in June 2020. She is on a three-fight losing skid and would like to win her first fight in two years.

Entering the second phase of her career, Eye sees the former champion as a great opponent to face. She hopes to get the fight done and then win it impressively.

“I’m more than happy to be able to face Joanna, I think that if I can beat her, we can make that trilogy happen,” Eye said. “I’d love to have another crack at her when she’s in the form that she’s in now.”

Eye’s last fight against Jennifer Maia was originally supposed to be for the vacant flyweight title after Valentina Shevchenko vacated the belt. However, financial issues with Maia prevented the two from fighting.

Jessica Eye and Joanna Jedrzejczyk have both been in the UFC for a long time and are now fighting each other at UFC 257. Jessica Eye is a flyweight fighter and has been a part of the UFC since 2013. She has had 14 fights in the UFC, winning 4 by knockout, 1 by submission, and 6 by decision. Her last fight was on October 17th, 2020 against Cynthia Calvillo, which she won by unanimous decision.

The UFC 257 main card features a clash of two very different women. Jessica Eye, the gatekeeper of the flyweight division who has never won a title fight, and Joanna Jedrzejczyk, former strawweight champion and current number-one contender. The winner’s name will go on the shortlist of possible opponents for the flyweight title shot. But, who will win?

Jessica Eye has always been considered one of the best fighters in her weight class, but she has never quite been able to reach that top spot. In her recent fights, she lost to Valentina Shevchenko in 2019 and beat Cynthia Calderwood in 2020. On Saturday night, at UFC 257, she faces Joanna Jedrzejczyk in a fight that could earn her a title shot if she wins.

Aside from being an amazing fighter, Jessica Eye is also a good looking woman with great style. Jessica Eye’s favorite sports are Muay Thai, MMA (mixed martial arts), and boxing; and she likes to work out at least five times per week because it keeps her mentally focused and helps relieve stress from life.

Joanna Jedrzejczyk was born on August 18th 1987; she started training Muay Thai when she

The UFC 257 main event between Conor McGregor and Dustin Poirier is set to be a barnburner after their first fight in 2014.

In the co-main event, Jessica Eye will face Joanna Jedrzejczyk in a battle for strawweight supremacy.

Both fighters have been on hot streaks, with the former champion Jedrzejczyk winning five straight including her last two over Michelle Waterson and Zhang Weili.

Eye has won four straight fights, with her last three wins coming over Viviane Araujo, Cynthia Calvillo, and Katlyn Chookagian.

This fight is so intriguing because both fighters specialize in striking.

Jedrzejczyk was known for her striking early in her career, but she’s also become a more well-rounded fighter, with a very tight ground game and some solid wrestling to go along with it.

Eye is similar in that she has a very good striking game, but she’s also shown an ability to close the distance effectively and get takedowns if needed.
