Football is an American sport with a history dating back to 1869. It’s a game that has more people playing and watching than any other professional sport.

The first professional football league formed in 1920, but it didn’t last long and the same can be said for several other leagues that tried to succeed.

In 1922, the NFL was created and is still alive today. The league started out with only 11 teams and has grown to 32 teams. Super Bowl Sunday is the biggest single-day sports betting event of the year, and this is where many casual bettors end up placing their wagers. Though betting on football may seem intimidating because of the sheer number of games played weekly during a season, there are some simple ways to add some structure to your bets: sides, totals and moneylines.

The NFL schedule runs from early September through mid-January, so you have plenty of time to get in on all the action! When it comes to NFL betting, each week presents its own set of challenges for bettors since the bookmakers will adjust their numbers according to how much money is being wagered on each team.
