NFL Betting Tips Where Should You Put Your Money?

The NFL season is well underway, and some teams are already looking like locks to make the playoffs. However, every game still carries weight and can affect the overall playoff picture. With that in mind, here are three games that are worth a bet this week.

Atlanta Falcons (-3) vs. New Orleans Saints

The Saints’ defense has been historically bad this season, allowing more than 30 points per game. They’ll be facing an Atlanta team that just put 41 on the Super Bowl champion Carolina Panthers and is looking to maintain their lead in the NFC South.

The Saints will certainly put up points here, but Atlanta’s offense should have little trouble outscoring them. The Falcons will also be getting back Pro Bowl safety Keanu Neal from injury after a bye week, which could help slow down Drew Brees a bit. Matt Ryan and Julio Jones should have big days in this one, and Atlanta should win comfortably.

Arizona Cardinals (+2) vs. San Francisco 49ers

The Cardinals will be without star linebacker Deone Bucannon for at least one week, but they still have a ton of talent on both sides of the ball and should have little trouble winning on Thursday Night Football against the Chip Kelly-coached 49ers.

Arizona has already won once with Drew

As the start of the NFL season draws closer, it’s time to take a look at how the opening week of action is shaping up.

The following are some thoughts on where your money should be placed for the first game of the 2016-17 season and beyond. (All odds via OddsShark)

Panthers vs. Broncos (-3)

It’s always tough to bet against the defending Super Bowl champions when they’re playing their home opener, but that’s exactly what we’re doing here.

The Broncos’ defense will be just fine, but they have a lot of questions under center that are likely to come out in this one against a Carolina team that has all its key pieces intact from last year.

Cam Newton and company will be able to take advantage of a Broncos defense that will be on the field for most of the game. If Denver becomes one-dimensional, Newton should be able to lead his offense on enough scoring drives to get the win.

Pick: Panthers (+3)
