Chelsea to Win Premier League according to Coral

Chelsea to Win Premier League according to Coral: A blog discussing a football topic that focuses on a prediction by Coral.

The Premier League season is drawing to a close, and with the title race still very much alive and kicking, Coral have decided to offer you an unbeatable price of 8/1 for Chelsea to lift the trophy come May.

Chelsea are currently two points clear at the top of the Premier League table, but Manchester City could leapfrog them if they win at Aston Villa on Wednesday night. A win for City would take the title race down to the last day of the season, where Chelsea host Sunderland, while City travel to Swansea.

Coral are offering Chelsea at 7/4 to win the Premier League this season as the betting company believe Manchester City have a much more difficult run-in.

Coral have also made Chelsea 9/2 favourites to win the Champions League, while they have priced them out at 11/10 to qualify for the semi-finals of Europe’s premier club competition.

Three of Chelsea’s last four league matches are at home and their away games are against Arsenal and Liverpool, who could both yet be involved in the title race when they face Jose Mourinho’s side later this month.

Manuel Pellegrini’s team, who trail leaders Chelsea by three points, travel to Goodison Park on Saturday to take on Everton, who were 3-0 winners over Arsenal earlier in April, before hosting Sunderland next Wednesday.

Coral spokesman Tim Reynolds said: “Chelsea look like they’ve got the easier run-in and it looks like all roads lead to Stamford Bridge for their remaining fixtures. With three of their last four games at home we make them 7/4 favourites for the Premier League title.”

Chelsea are just 1/2 with Coral to win the Premier League this season, after their 3-0 win over Man United last weekend.

Arsenal’s fine form continued, as they thrashed West Ham 5-1 on Saturday, with top scorer Alexis Sanchez bagging a brace, and there’s no doubt the Gunners are genuine title contenders this term.

Liverpool also won at the weekend, beating Bournemouth 2-0, with Raheem Sterling scoring one of the goals of the season so far. The Reds are 9/1 to win the league this season.

Manchester City face Norwich tonight in the Premier League, having lost their last two league games against Stoke and Arsenal, while they also lost to Liverpool in midweek in the Capital One Cup. The Citizens are now 10/3 to win the league this season.

Chelsea may have suffered a miserable League Cup exit after being thrashed 5-2 by Tottenham on Wednesday night, but Coral believe that this is just a minor blip and have priced them up at 11/10 to win the Premier League, making them the new favourites in front of Arsenal (5/2).

Coral sports betting expert Simon Clare said: “There’s no doubt the defeat at White Hart Lane was one of Chelsea’s worst performances under Jose Mourinho.

“However, we still make them odds-on favourites to regain their title – and it would be no surprise if they were still top of the Premier League when they host Spurs at Stamford Bridge on March 1.”

He added: “With such a fantastic goal difference, you’d expect Chelsea to win their next two home games against Newcastle and West Ham – and then we’ll see if they’re really made of title-winning material when they travel to Manchester City on January 31.”

“Chelsea have been the most impressive team in the Premier League so far with eight wins from nine games. But Arsenal are now catching up fast and we make them 5/2 second favourites to win their first title in ten years,” Clare continued.

Chelsea are the narrow favourites to retain their Premier League crown this season according to Coral, who make the Blues their 9/2 market leaders.

The Stamford Bridge outfit have been installed as Coral’s pre-season favourites to win the 2014/15 English top flight championship, but only just. We make Jose Mourinho’s men our 9/2 joint-favourites ahead of Manchester City (also 9/2), with Arsenal in third at 5/1.

Liverpool make up the top four at 6/1, while the odds are then stacked heavily against any other team landing the title next season: Manchester United are 33/1 and Everton a rank outsider at 500/1.

Coral have released their latest Premier League title odds ahead of the weekend’s action, and have made Chelsea the new favourites to win the league, with Manchester City second-favourites. Will they be right?

Chelsea now lead the way in terms of title odds with Coral, as they’ve been cut into 4/6 after winning 2-0 away at Arsenal on Sunday afternoon.

Manchester City are now out to 5/4 after Manchester United beat them 1-0 at Old Trafford on Sunday evening, but the real mover has been Liverpool who are now 7/1 shots for the title after beating Crystal Palace 3-1 at Selhurst Park, a result which saw them move back into third spot above Arsenal.

Arsenal’s defeat against Chelsea means their odds have lengthened from 6/1 to 10/1, with Tottenham also out to 10s after drawing 0-0 away at West Bromwich Albion. Manchester United remain 25/1 shots for the title despite beating Manchester City.

Coral are the latest bookmaker to publish their odds for the new Premier League season which started on Saturday.

Unsurprisingly, reigning champions Chelsea are favourites to retain their title at a price of 11/8. If successful, it would be Chelsea’s third Premier League triumph in just five seasons. The Blues have also won the Champions League, FA Cup and Europa League in that time.

Manchester United are next in the betting at 3/1 with Manchester City priced at 6/1. Arsenal are available to back at 9/1 while Tottenham can be backed at 10/1. Both Liverpool and Everton are available to back at 66/1.

“Chelsea were clinical last season and Mourinho has strengthened his squad again over the summer,” said Coral’s John Hill. “It is no surprise that we are seeing plenty of support for them.”
