The first game of the series is Game 1 of the World Series between the New York Yankees and Boston Red Sox. The Yankees won this game in dramatic fashion, coming back from down three runs in the ninth inning to win 6-5. The Yankees have been on fire this postseason, and their offense has been explosive.

The second game of the series is Game 2 of the World Series between the Chicago Cubs and Los Angeles Dodgers. This was a game that was decided by one run as well, but it wasn’t as close as Game 1. The Cubs won this game 5-4 in extra innings on a walk-off home run by Kris Bryant.

And you are forced to pay attention throughout the entire game. Later in life, when I became more interested in baseball statistics, I realized I had learned not only how to keep score but also how to interpret it—and why
